My Mother

I wrote this poem a few years ago for my mum. I penned it down on this huge card on mother's day. I really have a wonderful mum and am grateful to god to give me someone like her to take care of me and love me. I'm really lucky to have her in my life. :)
So i dedicate this poem to all the lovely mothers out there :)

Bright is the sun

And bright are the skies

But they ain’t bright enough

Like your love filled bright eyes



Soft is the breeze

And soft are the buds to bloom

But they aint soft enough

As your caring soul



Safe is a father’s presence

And safe is a lover’s care

But nothing is as safe as I feel

When I’m in your embrace



I see love in your eyes

And heaven in your soul

My universe revolves around you

You are in my deepest core



You were the one I saw

When I first opened my eyes

With all my heart and my soul
